Commercial interior design for offices, retail and hospitality
Offices and workplaces. Reception and client-facing areas, open-plan and enclosed workspace, meeting rooms, staff amenities. Layouts that respect how people actually use a floor rather than how a plan looks on paper — where they sit for hours, how they move between tasks, and what the space asks of their bodies over a working day. The same wellness design framework that shapes our residential work — ergonomics, light, colour, comfort over a working day — is applied to the workplace.
Retail and showrooms. Circulation, sightlines and display that guide a customer through a space without instructing them. Materials chosen to hold up under real footfall.
Hospitality and restaurants. Front of house that carries the identity of the business, and back of house planned around service flow, ventilation and the constraints of the building.

How a commercial project runs
Commercial work carries obligations residential work does not — accessibility requirements, landlord approvals, permit drawings, and trades who need dimensioned information rather than mood boards. Our process is built around producing that documentation properly.

We work with commercial clients throughout Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Markham, Oakville, Brampton, Etobicoke and Richmond Hill. Site visits are part of how we work, and we would rather be close enough to attend one at short notice.

Questions we are asked
What does commercial interior design include?
Space planning and layout, material and finish selection, lighting design, joinery and fixture detailing, and the drawing set your contractor builds from. On most projects it also includes coordinating permit documentation and reviewing work on site as it progresses.
How is commercial interior design different from residential?
Commercial work is governed by code and by use. Accessibility, occupancy, egress and fire separation shape the plan before aesthetics enter the conversation, and materials must survive far heavier use. It is also a documentation exercise — trades, landlords and inspectors all work from drawings rather than conversation.
Do you work with contractors and landlords directly?
Yes. We coordinate with your contractor, trades and property manager throughout, and provide the drawing sets required for landlord and permit approval.

What do you need from us to start a commercial project?
The intended use of the space and the headcount it has to hold, what the lease permits, your target dates and a working budget. We visit and measure the space ourselves before proposing anything, so existing drawings are helpful but not required.
